Hi!
I'm Sandy Riser though some of you may know me by my non-married name Ms. Igo. I have been teaching at FCCS for 4 years but I did not begin my education career in Louisiana. My original home is central Florida where I was a teacher and administrator in public middle schools for over 20 years. I retired and moved to the quiet little town of Mangham to be with my new husband and was very happy to find a wonderful school like FCCS where Christian beliefs are nurtured and the students are great!
I have one son who is in college and I spend most of my vacation time with him and my family back in the Sunshine State. I've even taken some of my students with me during the summer!
At FCCS in addition to teaching, I also sponsor the INTERACT Club which is the student addition of the Rotarians. Our chapter is honored by being the very first in both Franklin and Richland Parishes. I'm proud of our members whose motto is "service before self."
If you need to contact me outside of school hours, the best way is through email which I check several times each day. Students can use it to ask questions and parents feel free to schedule conferences or share other information there as well.
